Leak during black water flush

Posted 11-11-2021 at 06:54 PM by HiBanky

Gas Furnace not working

Posted 11-10-2021 at 05:33 PM by HiBanky

I have a 2005 Journey with Suburban SF42 gas furnace that does not come on. The problem began when, in the the middle of a heating cycle, it shut down and would not come on line. No heat or fan. According to the Suburban troubleshooting guide, there is only three possible causes. 1. no voltage at the unit. 2. a bad relay 3. a bad motor. After extensive investigation I ruled out all of these but in the process I found a bad solder joint on the PC board right at the point where the 12VDC supply connects...

Black water odor in the coach.

Posted 02-27-2020 at 05:49 PM by HiBanky
Updated 06-05-2023 at 05:46 AM by HiBanky (Addressing the other cause for odor)

2005 Journey
I have a unique situation that to my knowledge has never been address at least not in this forum. In certain weather conditions my black water tank emitted the foulest odor imaginable. There are dozens of reasons for bad odors from your holding tanks to enter your RV. There dozens more solutions posted in forums such as this one. After months of disappointment none of the solutions offered in any forum made a bit of difference. Out of desperation I pulled the control panel to...
