2005 Voyage Complete Awning replacement

I Lost my 18' awning to I-25 one day when the awning was not locked down. I'm looking for advice on how to proceed. The awning rail is all that i could salvage. Do I replace with an original or is there another product/company that works just as good??
Thanks for your input, Mark

For me it would be replace with as close to original as possible. My reasoning for that is the mounting brackets would be using the same holes. For me the less holes in the side of rv the better off.

Also have you checked (if want to) with your insurance company to see if awning is covered. May save you a few dollars.

That's sound advice

Happy, Yes I have looked at the cost of replacement and am leaning toward that option. However, there are so many other manufacturers and some are as good as factory (Winnebago style). I'm just doing my diligence and wondering about all the other options. Thanks for the help.

Right! I lost my main 20' awning when a wind burst hit the starboard side of my MH. Progressive mailed me a check for $6,300 to replace it with the same brand/model/length.

Insurance is for Emergancies.

True story, I bought my Voyage used with less than 24,000 miles. I drove through a very windy corridor in Clines Corner, New Mexico. well, the wind ripped of the roof off and the insurance paid out $19,500 to have it put back on. The awning is a smaller issue but still an issue.

P.S. The insurance company said they will only pay for 1 replacement. Since then I've had the roof sealed twice.
