Power Over the Door Awning 56" Complete Assembly

My over door awning on 2008 Winnebago Journey has failed to retract, considered not repairable by shop. Can anyone refer me to where I can buy a new whole assembly? I've purchased 2 from an rv salvage, of which 1 damaged in shipping, 1 total junk. Found a new Carefree Colorado thru Ebay, seller took my money and disappeared. Ebay refunded me, but the 1st 2 cost over $100 to ship back. My original is a Dometic Oasis Elite. I don't expect to find original canvas of black cherry, just need to replace. I have disconnected power line and removed awning. I can install a new one. Truly appreciate any source or assistance. I can't afford to get ripped off any further.

If you don't want to order from your local RV dealer, i would check out Carefree of Colorado at https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com and order directly from them. They are a great company and make their awnings here in Broomfield, Colorado.

Dometic OASIS #973/4 Elite (Fiamma) Fix For Less Than 30 Cents! (No Kidding!)

I'm sorry I did not find your post until today, but I may have good news. Just hop over to this thread on IRV2 and you will find everything I did to fix my A&E AWNINGS MODEL 974, Manufactured by Fiamma.

"One Lucky Fix"

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f101/one-...ml#post3693945

And just in case this link no long works in the future, I have attached a .pdf for reference.

Note: This fix works if your motor spins and no longer engages the "D" shape (Pot metal) female end that stripped-out and is now a "circle".

Good luck. Several people have said they fixed their awning in one afternoon. And once you do it, I would say it's a 2-hour job.

Also, I now understand you can get parts, but I don't have the confirmed. I repaired my awning 3 years ago when there was a parts shortage.

* You need a tall, stable ladder and some duct tap and a 30-cent pin. The rest you can read about.
