Note: This fix works if your motor spins and no longer engages the "D" shape (Pot metal) female end that stripped-out and is now a "circle".
Good luck. Several people have said they fixed their awning in one afternoon. And once you do it, I would say it's a 2-hour job.
Also, I now understand you can get parts, but I don't have the confirmed. I repaired my awning 3 years ago when there was a parts shortage.
