2021 Navion Roof Wing

Any post on replacing the roof wing on a Navion. Ours blew off somewhere, I have ordered the part and brackets.

Could you be more specific about what a “roof wing” is?

TV antenna, maybe???

We had a thread last summer which I believe is the same item. The term fairing was used to describe the part:

Thanks, Eagle5

I got that name from Winnebago Parts Dept. It's a body part located on the top behind the drivers side that looks like a flaring. It is held on the roof with three plates. Somehow the whole thing blew off with the brackets. Winnebago parts says it happens a lot. The part number is 329370-01 the brackets are different numbers. It appears the brackets a glued to the roof and then the flaring piece is attached to them. It has no function just blends the cab to the body.
Thanks for responding to this thread
Mike

Mine were glued on with a little duct tape on the side. I took the fairing off to check the seals and the brackets pulled off with minimal effort. I reinstalled the brackets by taping them on with durabond tape, sealed the interface between the roof and cab with same, then re-attached the fairing. I believe its purpose is to improve the aerodynamics in the transition from cab to roof. I ended up with a 1/2 inch space between the 2 (that may contribute to the thing blowing off in the first place). That I sealed with duct tape (matched the color better than the durabond) to reduce the wind noise caused by air flowing over the gap.

When you said "roof wing" I immediately thought of my roof wing: It sure keeps the rear cap clean.

Mine flew off as well. I did ask what the purpose of this part is and was told it is purely cosmetic. I opted not to replace it as I was quoted 1800+ paint cost.

I lost mine about a year ago. Not going to replace it. If you didn’t know it had been there, you probably wouldn’t miss it. Navion 2021D
