RVs are poorly insulated as you know. Once they get over 90 inside it's going to take a lot of time for them to cool down. Your A/C units can only cool the outside air about 20 degrees. So, when it's 80 outside you get nice cold 60 degree air from your A/C to cool down the inside.
But when it's 90 outside then you are only pumping in 70 degree air - and if it's 100 outside you're trying to cool the interior with 80 degree air.
So, yeah... it's going to take a good while to drop the entire mass of your RV down to cool sleeping temps.
