That’s a big trailer you’re trying to cool with a single A/C. If you have 59amp service, maybe consider installing a second A/C. An hour for it to cool from 88 to 72 ain’t so bad.

If I could cool my motorhome, with two A/C units, from 88 to 72 degrees in one hour I would break out the champagne and celebrate. Cooling my RV from 88 to 72 - with both A/C units - would take about 4-hours.

Marine, my TT does have 2 A/C units but runs on 30amps. Loooooooooong story there in multiple posts here on the forums on that should you choose to go down that rabbit hole. I did not use both A/C units during my test as I didn't have enough power coming from my jennies. I have a combined 4,000 watts and that is down 15% due to elevation.

Creative, holy cow I was not aware that it would take that long. I've only had one TT prior to my Minnie and that one seemed to cool super quick even though it was only a foot shorter in length. I was expecting the same here.

Sorry @Crispybones that I neglected to look back further in your thread.

RVs are poorly insulated as you know. Once they get over 90 inside it's going to take a lot of time for them to cool down. Your A/C units can only cool the outside air about 20 degrees. So, when it's 80 outside you get nice cold 60 degree air from your A/C to cool down the inside.

But when it's 90 outside then you are only pumping in 70 degree air - and if it's 100 outside you're trying to cool the interior with 80 degree air.

So, yeah... it's going to take a good while to drop the entire mass of your RV down to cool sleeping temps.

Just doing some quick research I found two options that can be purchased for better air distribution.

https://koolrv.com/

https://rvairflow.com/

The significantly cheaper route is to build one myself. There are several YouTube videos online that show it can be done as Creative suggested.

The downside to purchasing one is the customizability of them. They're very specific to the model of unit that's on the roof. That said they're not manufactured for all that's out there.

FWIW
