Speedometer not working 1999 Winnebago Chieftain 35U

Hello,
I am new to this forum, but have owned my 1999 winnebago chieftain 35u for 13 years. Did not go anywhere for 2 years during covid. When I was getting it ready for use, I had a front driver ABS sensor issue. When driving, the speedometer did not work. I was hoping if I replaced the sensor the speedometer would work. No go. I also changed the rear differential ABS speed sensor and still nothing. Codes are all gone, but the speedometer is still not working. Cruise works and a code reader live data shows the speed. I even took out the speedometer and cleaned the computer board of all the dead stink bugs. I even unhooked both of the harnesses from the transmission and cleaned them and reconnected. What am I missing?

Greetings Alricco,
Hopefully, someone on the team here will be able to help, but in the meantime, a dash-mounted GPS will give you your speed until you can get it fixed.
Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like an issue in the cluster. Does the odometer work?

Sorry. I meant to put in the original post that everything works even odometer.

I'm also assuming it's an F53? Sensor on rear diff is a bit of a giveaway.

There have been cases where the speedometer fails on folks when jumpstarting. Used to be able to get a rebuilt cluster at RockAuto. I don't see that anymore. Cluster is VERY similar to a '99 -'01 Superduty cluster. Might be able to find one of those and swap in the stepper motor for the speedo, but not 100% sure, never tore one down that far.

A thread that mentions the jump start issue

Is there a way to put the cluster in test mode to check the functionality? I see it can be done with other clusters, but I cannot find any steps for this particular cluster.
