2021 Minnie 2529RG Bed struts

Our 2021 2529 RG had one bed strut mounted on the left side. The screws pulled out of the plywood, the strut seems to be too long.
Does your unit have one or two struts, could you please give me a part number for the bed strut on your trailer.
Thanks

Gigman our 2250DS has 2 supports.

Here is a link.

The mounting ends may need to be ordered separately. You will have to check.

Big bird thanks a bunch...that makes a lot more sense than just one strut.

You are welcome. I have seen several but never one with just one strut.

BigBird65…..we’re on the road to the Grand National Rally and just saw your post. I checked our struts and there is NOTHING stamped on them! I’ve copied the info you provided.
Thanks.

We had one but I replaced it with a set of like-kind set. I did two just to make sure they are the same and besides, they are cheap. I also drilled a couple holes through the lid for each bracket, running small bolts through as the screws were pulling out.

Mine were 20 inch Gas Strut - 356N/80Lbs (C1608053) and are actually mounted opposite of BigBirds.

Bob, thanks for posting. Yours would seem to be a little more in the way than mine. In 5 years, we have never had a bit of trouble with ours holding the bed up and we even have a 3" memory foam topper on the bed. I noticed that yours are rated at 80 lbs while mine are rated at 100 lbs.

That is the way the original one came from the factory, and I just added another one. I actually like your method better as it puts the pressure against the Aluminum frame of the pass-through rather than the cheesy stapled corner (though I fixed that). I wonder, considering your angle is less than mine, if it holds as much?? It might be why they only used one originally. Any structural engineers here??? LOL

If I was using the area for storage, I might look into changing them.

They used one because they saved a few bucks.

It worked fine with the stock mattress but when we upgraded to a Wilderness RV mattress, it wouldn't hold it up. But two sure does. You may be right, if one works, why provide two! I am guessing because how yours are situated, they may of needed two.
