Minnie Winnie 31H side door

I have a 2020 Minnie Winnie 31H (new to us) in September. It is currently in storage, but we noticed with the side door it will only open 90 degrees from the camper, not all the way like our old Class C. Wondering if there is a fix to allow the door to open all the way? Currently it stop with the "arm" at the bottom. Thanks

I believe that's the way the RV was designed and I don't think it be changed. The door is made to open 90 degrees. You'd have to change more than that strut at the bottom of the door to make any change there. The door hinges, etc are all part of the design.

I could be wrong, but my door opens 90 degrees and I've replaced the strut and there was no way extend the door further on my motorhome.

Our 25B is a similar set up. Hated the way the door opened.
Disconnect the prop from the door and open it completely to be sure it clears everything.
We removed the prop from the bottom, installed a pair of friction door hinges from Amazon and a magnetic, spring loaded door holder. Works great.
While your at it replace the door handle before you get locked out (or in).
At 3 1\2 yrs ours broke exactly the way they all do right in the middle of a 3 month trip.
Hinges $14, Holder $forget, Handle $130, Prop removal--priceless

Thanks for the info!!! If it is not too much trouble could you take a pic of your door? If you're somewhere cold you may not see your RV until May like us. Thanks again

I can't post pictures but the job is so straight forward you'll wish you had done it sooner.
Before anything be sure to disconnect the prop from the door (spring clip) and see that the door has a full swing without hitting anything.
1) Search "RV entry door friction hinge" on amazon. They come as a pair and install in the gaps between the factory hinges. $25 list price-got mine for $13 from the "available for a lower price" section. They can take a 25 mph wind without moving. We found this to be true. Be sure to pre-drill the holes for the mounting screws. Takes 1/2 hour.
They are widely used on TT BTW. And then,Ta-Da, no more slamming the entry door.
2) For good measure I installed a spring loaded, magnetic door-open stopper/holder on my door.
We camp a lot on the plains and deal with lots of wind. The TT's I've seen that use the friction hinges haven't had any sort of a door-open holder installed.
Search "Magnetic door stoppers" on Amazon. They aren't RV specific. I mounted mine with the provided 3M tape.
