Question Curt Echo wireless brake controller

I have a 2022 View 24D and purchased a Curt Echo wireless brake controller.

When I connect the controller in the motorhome there isn't 12 volt power to activate the controller, (the controller LED doesn't illuminate). The 7-way does activate the lights properly on the trailer when towing. I verified that the controller works on another vehicle properly. Using a voltmeter, I cannot detect power at the 12 volt pin, although I understand the CanBus system may not show 12 volts without a load.
Has anyone successfully used the Curt Echo Bluetooth controller with their newer Sprinter chassis? Is there something I need to modify?

Hi Bryan,
I wonder if an "old fashioned" test light would create enough current draw to turn-on the CanBus system? Perhaps the solution is to tap-off the parking light circuit and have your parking lights on whenever towing.
Welcome to the forum.
