Keyless Entry RV Side Door Lock

Anyone with a WB Aspect RV been able to find a replacement Keyless Entry RV Lock that fits in the side door? My current two-key lock has the tumblers directly above one another, and all the keyless replacement locks I've seen have the tumblers staggered by a few inches.

Please post a picture of your lock.

I assume this is for your main entry door and that you have a keyless entry system that is not working?

No, I'm looking to replace the lock on my side door. Here's an image of the current lock. The two keys are above one another, not on opposite corners like all the keyless locks I've seen available...
Two notes: Not sure why the image turned sideways. Second, ignore the duct tape. It's protecting the RV's side wall when the wind catches the door...

I saw this in the comment section of a YouTube video (Big Truck Big RV), looks like they are going to have one for us soon.

Looks like you have a Trimark 30-900 lock. What sort of problems are you having with it?

If none, then I'm guessing you just want to install a key pad or maybe you want to use a fob?

You’re right. My current lock is working fine. We bought a keyless locks or our stick and bricks front door, and fell in love with it. We’ll looking to do the same thing with the RV. Thanks for the info. I hope to see a WB keyless lock in the near future... :-)

I doubt that will happen. People have been saying this for years.

If you want a fob, just buy a $20 KES off Amazon or Ebay and add a $4 plunger.

Your door already has the Trimark 30-900 hardware in it and you just need to mount the plunger and wire it to your KEY controller... which you then can use a fob to operate.

After that you can add a keypad, but this is overkill if you ask me.

...Also, any auto alarm shop can do this for you easy. ...You just need to bring them the information on how to service your Trimark lock, so it can be adjusted after you take it apart, and they will know how to wire up your KEYS.

For more information, on the Trimark part you can go here:

Note: This thread is for RVs with a non working KES they want to replace. So in your case not everything applies to your application.

The power door lock buttons on my 2015 Aspect front doors also lock and unlock the side door. What I need to find is a simple keyless entry system which energizes the correct wires as the momentary power lock switches on the doors do. The place where I am stalemated is finding which wires to use, without removing one of the door panels.

Has anyone added such a system?

Go to the Winnebago library and download the wiring schematics for your MH.

Thanks, I tried that as one of my early attempts. Most of the diagrams refer to the connections to the Ford wiring. I've looked over the three entitled "Body, 12 Volt Wiring Installation", "Chassis Electrical Box Assembly", and "Chassis Wiring Installation". There are a few places there showing Ford chassis to Winnebago wiring connections, but I've found nothing specific to the electric door locks.

I know there are many bundles of wiring under the dash, but knowing which wires connect to those door switches remains uncertain. Hoping someone has done this before.

Not done it but I might point to a way to get more info on wires.
Are you familiar with the "wire identification chart"?
Winn uses a system to ID each wire like this:

Name:	wire ID.jpg
Views:	28
Size:	30.2 KB
ID:	185529

If we find a wire we can look at the ID and then go to this chart:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ical_guide.pdf

This will give us the "FROM" and "TO" of that wire which often tells us a bit about the use.

OR as an alternate use we can work it back the other way!
If we want to know something about a wire wwe find on drawings or a loose wire we start with the ID but if we only know we want to ID wires goiing to something specific like "door locks", we can go to the chart, hit control "F" to get a drop down were we canput in the terms we are interested in finding.

Just as a try, I input "lock" and bingo it brought 99 places where that term is found!
Click this snip to get a better view or go direct and play a bit as you look for clues?

Yes, looking at 99 places can be tedious, but much better than crawling under the dash?
Also, the more specific, you make the search term, the fewer hits you find.
Lock gets 99
door lock gets 22
and door lock/unlock only gets one!

One of the reasons I use this site so much is that looking for info is like an Easter egg hunt.
Just think how good it feels if you find the big gold one??

But you may also totally strike out, so i'll wish you luck and let you play the game!
