What is It (Photo)? 2007 Meridian 36G

Finally found time to investigate the wiring behind the bedroom tv. Found some really interesting wiring most of which I could figure out.

The one pictured below has me stomped. It has a 12v wire connecting to what seems to be some kind of transfer thing. Its about 2" in diameter and the black round wire that comes out of it goes all the way from ceiling, to best I can figure to the floor. If through the floor it would come out in wet / electric bay.

Thanks in advance

Do you have a sat. antenna near that space? or an alternate might be the wind sensor for awning? Those both show connections behind the bedroom TV!
But if you are still back there, do you see any ID stamped on the wires as a far more sure idea?
This chart might help to decode the stamp?

Anything like this showing?

Take a look at the last page of the Body, 12 Volt Wiring Installation diagram for your coach, View FC-FC (in the upper right corner of the page). It looks like the connector for the exterior entertainment center Radio Antenna on the roof just above.

I'm guessing that is not one of the wires that Winnebago stamped the ID. The JP with the one is not what I'm used to seeing as I never see any with numerals!
Then it doesn't seem like a logical place to go to get ground for monitor and such as they are so far away with lots closer grounds to snag.

One of those weird little mysteries we may never find out about? Is this any where near a sat. dish mounted on top and just above? That might be my guess!!

According to page 11 of the Body, 12 Volt Wiring Diagram pdf for the OP's coach the ground wire for the radio antennas is a WHITE wire labeled JP, which is listed in the Wiring Identification Guide as:
JP / 14 WHT WATER PUMP,MONITOR PANEL,ETC (REF JA) GROUND

Possible both ideas may be correct but that does take a bit of jump done on faith!

If we go with the wire that is reported to be labeled JP1 as being wire JP, then both ideas might be correct as JP does go to several different items on the roof!

If we accept that JP is ground and it is associated with JA for battery, those two wires show up here.

Several things that it might be but I find no firm info beyond taking the leap and testing needed to confirm!

Well, here's View FC-FC, referenced earlier. Sure looks like the OPs image to me.

I think you are on the right track. I will have to get up close and personal with the connection. It looks like it is just clipped up will have to see.

I know there is an antenna mounted on roof near the black tank vent pipe. More investigation is needed on my part, will look and bring back what I find. Thanks all so far
