The sound I had was just a loose squirrel cage fan that seemed to sound like it was lightly scraping the edge. Just needed to tighten the bolt that tightens it to shaft. No more noise.

Just to let you know that I did find the plastic...

Just to let you know that I did find the plastic valve on the radiator. It was hidden behind a hose. Better than a brass petcock as I can get a small hose on it to drain into a 5 gal bucket.
