What size and model? I have a 2000 Adventurer 35U Class A ,on the Ford F53 chassis. I quite enjoy it but I only have approx 22,000 miles on it. The V10 has lots of power even stock. I tow a Ford F150 weighing in at just under 5000 Lbs. Towed thru mountains to southern California and Arizona with no problems. Banks power pack would be nice but not needed. Check Norcold fridge for recall. how old are the tires? All the normal stuff to look for.

We had one, and the only issue was with water getting into the air filter housing while driving in heavy rain. I think there was a TSB that came out about that. In any case, with a Banks system on the one you're looking at, I doubt it would have problem. Good luck and enjoy.

We have a 1999 35' Brave with the same chassis. 103,000 miles. It should be a good motorhome for you.

We had a 2001 Adventurer 32V and put over 100,000 miles on it before trading it off, We've talked to the new owner and they plan to put on another 100,000 miles before retiring it.
Be sure to look at the brakes. At about 75,000 miles we had to replace the brake pads all around. The rears will wear more since the rear axle carries twice the weight of the front. They're not very expensive at about $90.00 per axle. They're the same for both the front and rear axles, and available from NAPA. Be sure to flush the brake system. Ford recommends it every 2 years.
Another thing to look at is the transmission fluid. It should be changed every 30,000 miles. Be sure to use the correct filter. It uses the same deep filter as the 4 wheel drive trucks.
Look over the seams where the roof meets the sidewalls. Push with your thumbs against the roof just above the rain gutter. If the roof material will move the area needs to be resealed. You don't have to wholesale replace the caulking along the entire length. Just the areas that are loose. In 12 years we only had to relplace about 6' of caulking, however our coach was stored indoors.
Lube the joints at the steps. If they get dry the steps either won't fully extend or retract. If it gets too dry the link that extends and retracts the steps may break.
Check the slide out cover and awning where they attach to the coach. Over time these areas will start to deteriorate and eventually tear. Also check the hydraulic hoses to the slide and jacks. It's not common but some do leak. If they have to be replaced they aren't cheap.

Had a 2000 35u and now a 2001 37g. They made so many of these that they got good at it.
Have fun with it.

Thank you everyone. The coach is a 2001 Adventurer 35U with the Ford V10. Appears to be in great shape.

Just one comment, I have the Banks unit and water still gets in during heavy rain.

We bought an 01 35U(Ford) with 12K mi. on it and the first thing I did was drive to L.A. and have the Banks system as you decsribed. We drove it to 82K mi. and it never hiccuped. I was towing a Dodge Dakota 4x, about 5500 lbs. Sue helped but the Banks does nothing for mileage increases in that setup.
