Speedbumping into this place

Hello Winnie’s or whatever a bunch of Winnebago owners are called.

I’m Speedbump and we have a 2022 MM FLX 2108FBS.

We’re getting ready to wrap up our first season both as first time RV owners and as FLX owners. Gotta say, we’re hooked pretty hard!

Greetings Speedbump,
We think of ourselves simply as Winnieowners. Every time we tried to start a forum using Winnierenters, we would lose all our members after one week or 2,500 miles, so that never worked out!
So I have to ask; what did you do to earn the moniker Speedbump, or should I ask how fast were you going when you hit it? I bet there is a story there.
Welcome to the forum.

The back story is rather graphic and I’ve had some folks nearly pass out or throw up when they see the police photos.

In short, an oblivious driver made a speed bump out of me while I was cycling. So I was only going about 18mph when he hit me and proceeded to drag me down the road under his F350. Trust me, it’s not as much fun as it sounds. The only way I could get it through folks heads what happened, before we had the pics, was to use the analogy of driving over a speed bump except it was me and my bicycle. Regret asking? LOL!

Glad you survived being a human speedbump and are out RVing now. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Speedbump,
All I can say is wow! Many of us have a bicycle accident story to share, but that one is a doozy. I too am glad you survived.
