Exercised the coach and generator the other day. Ran the house AC to put load on the gennie. On the One Place reads as 50AMP available as if plugged in but the gennie light not on, also the window showing AMP draw is out. Going in for a couple of warranty items anyway, just wondered if anyone has had the same problem?

Thanks, Mike

If your coach is like mine, there is a switch on the dash that disconnects the house batteries. Try turning that switch off then on and check your AMP panel. I've done this before and that seems to reset the panel. Do this while running your generator or when plugged into shore power.

The One place is operating correctly. If on generator power or plugged into 50amp shore power, the One place should have the "Gen" or "50" amp green light lite. The amp window will be blank. The amp window only shows your power draw if plugged into 30 or 20 amp shore power.

Not sure if they made a change, but I don't think they did. My PMS reads amps off the genny, just not off the 50 amp shore line side.

When you did this were you plugged into shore power also?

If so, sounds to me like your transfer switch didn't switch you over to the genny. The Generator light should be lit, and you should have a amp read out.

Moder and John C,

Exactly my thinking. I have always had the board lit and reactive on either gennie or shore power. I am going to mess with it today and see if it responds to my usual gentle touch.

Thanks all for your replies. Mike

Two weeks ago I was under the bed and while there checked the 12AMP breakers. I shut off the one for the enginr heater, I'm in SoFL, who needs it!! Guess what that breaker also controls?? You got it. All is right with the world.

Mike,

We just unplug our engine heater. That way it doesn't get accidentally turned on when not wanted. I think on most winnie's it is plugged in the electrical bay to the outlet that is switched in the bedroom.

Moder2,

On the diesels there is a male plug hanging in the electrical bay for the engine heater. Just plug it into 115 shorepower and hit the switch on the one place to activate. Thanks for your replies, John.

Happy trails, Mike
