Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

What an incredible forum. We learned so much over the last three years, which enriched our Micro Minnie experience. Unfortunately, a pretty severe health downturn has led my doctor to advise that we discontinue our passion for RV travel. The feeling is my health has deteriorated to the point that it may not be possible for my loyal and beautiful wife to extricate us from a medical emergency which is likely to happen. I’ll still follow this forum because we still have passion for our Micro Minnie and the adventures and scrapes of fellow campers. We’ll be offering our 2021b 2108b for sale. See my post on RVs for sale section.

I’ll be around lurking as long as the ticker holds out. Hopefully, I’ll still be able to help some folks out. Of course, you can always PM me with specific questions, or if you have interest I. Acquiring our 2108DS.

As always
Semper Fidelis,

Jim,
This is some really sad news. But we all wish nothing but the best for you.

Your health is most important and that's all we care about. Please do continue reading, posting and providing your expertise.

Whomever is lucky enough to purchase your TT is indeed a travel trailer lottery winner.

I've never met Jim. I don't know the man. But I do know he likes to help, that he likes to share and that he cares. The Marine core values that bless him have transpired to this forum and we all benefited from it. Thanks you, sir. All the best,

Jim,

I'll second the motion (3rd, 4th?) for you to continue to be an armchair camper! You gained an absolute ton of experience these last few years that definitely needs to be shared so long as you can! I'm very sorry to hear you need to set aside the physical aspect of it.

Thanks for being one of best on this thread

So very sorry to hear about your health issues. Thanks so much for all of your timely help and feedback on so many trailer challenges. I look forward to seeing your future posts in spite of your need to stop pulling one of these fun little boxes around.

Wow Jim,

Awful news. I barely know you here on the forums as a new owner, and you jumped in and helped so much replying to my post. Then I realized you are everywhere here helping in your conversations after reading the unbelievably numerous helpful posts. My best wishes to you and your family. Thinking of you and hoping for recovery or at least functional stability.

Jim, I'm sorry you have to back off of RVing. I'm sure there is a demand for you to back off of other things as well. Take care of yourself and accept the care offered by others. I hope our health improves more and rapidly.

Yeah,
Can’t really do many of the things I enjoyed doing a couple of years ago. But the beauty of life is that there is so much more. I think life will be good for me because I still have mobility. Enjoy your RV adventures. The memories last a long time.
