When my 2008 Journey engine light came on, along with sporadically shutting off, it was the turbo chargers. Likely not your issue. I am interested in hearing what the shop finds.
Yellow means non critical. I've had two on our Journey. One was a abs sensor and the other one was a grid heater fuse. Could be a variety of problems. Keep us posted.
