Odd Camera Issue, 2008 35J Sightseer

Happy Spring Camping all!! We just picked up our Winnie a couple weeks ago and have been thrilled with it (family of 5 with a pup). All systems are working great, except for a small issue with the camera system (original b/w Voyager). The camera's all work fine, switch from left and right through the turn signal or the manual button, except if the headlights are switched on, then the monitor will only display the passenger side camera and will not switch until the headlights are turned off. Any help with this electrical gremlin would be appreciated. Thanks

Could it be functioning as designed? Headlghts on, assumption you're driving at night, only need help on passsenger side, for lane changes? You can see driver's side traffic with their headlights on, no assistance required?

I like your logic! I couldn't find anything in the manual about this being a feature, hopefully someone with a similar unit could verify. Thanks for your reply!

Just a guess. Sometimes you have to think like a Winnebago design engineer, on a very tight budget.

Check your various “parking” lights for a blown bulb. Had a friend with a similar issue on his Winnie, turned out the front parking light up front was blown, the lack of resistance from the blown bulb was falsely triggering the corresponding camera.

I don’t think this is the case, my prior coach was a 2008 Itasca Sunova 35J and I know on mine the cameras worked the same headlights on or off.

Very interesting! Our front left turn signal bulb is burned out, I haven't had a chance to replace it. I'll swap out the bulb and test the camera. Thanks!

Not good enough, though?
Hope it's just that bulb out causing it.
Good luck.

Darn it. Glad you got it resolved, but sad that it wasn't my psycho-analysis of the problem, as it relates to Winnebago design engineers.
