Converter fan running when inverter is on??

I recently purchased a 2016 Navion model V with less than 8000 miles. The problem I have noticed is that when the inverter is turned on the fan on the converter operates. I can turn the fan off using the RECPS 2 breaker. The converter is cleverly hidden under the passenger side twin bed which I did remove to determine what fan was running. Batteries are new, fully charged and seem to charge with the converter when connected to shore power.
I'm sure I may need to do some more investigation on this problem but out of the box does this seem normal?

When you turn on the inverter (is it a factory installed inverter, or added by the PO?), are you also plugged into shore power? If yes, it sounds like the inverter is drawing power from the batteries and the converter/charger is actively replenishing it from shore power. That I would consider normal. If no, then it is odd.
Just my opinion, based on my experience with my 2018 N24V. If I'm running off batteries/inverter, not plugged in, the converter/charger doesn't make any noise, as it isn't being used.
Others may have different answers and perspectives.

The inverter is not the original. It’s is an AIMS 2000w pure sine inverter with a transfer switch like the original Xantrex. It is wire up and operates like just the original. I am pulling power only from the inverter not plugged into shore power and the converter fan runs. .
BTW, the converter fan ran with the original inverter as well. I wasn’t sure what the fan noise was until I got to the the converter.

All I can offer is my converter/charger is silent, when the inverter is in use. So says the co-pilot. She sleeps on the passenger side.

It sounds like your inverter is powering your converter when you are not plugged into shore power. That’s definitely not something you want to happen. The inverter must be installed differently than the original, perhaps it’s wired to the whole house.

If you turn off the converter with the circuit breaker that should be OK but it shouldn’t be necessary. The converter should only be powered by shore power.

I suggest you figure out how the inverter is connected to the electrical system ASAP.
