Anyone familiar w/late model Forza Magnum/Firefly environment?

My coach is a couple hours away having the front awning fixed and I have some q's related to choosing/installing a battery monitor...

The Firefly panel shows battery voltage & "current", and manages auto-gen start, but displays no SOC or amp-hr flow. Short of installing a Victron unit & shunt, I'm trying to figure out if I can add a Magnum remote display to the MS2000 inverter's blue remote port and still retain Firefly functionality (I'm pretty sure the ME-RC remote display shows SOC & amp-hrs). Curious if the blue port is available or used by Firefly.

Calling Winnie/Magnum/Firefly doesn't appeal to me so was wondering if maybe someone else has already been down this road, or has any experience adding a battery monitor to their Forza.

I'm not familiar with the Firefly integration. But the ME-RC doesn't show SOC. For that you'd need the ME-ARC50 remote.

I replaced the ME-MR remote with the ME-ARC50 and installed the Magnum ME-BMK battery monitor. It works great and has been a big help.

But to tell you the truth - since Magnum has been dragging it's heels on bluetooth I've been thinking I'd replace the ME-BMK with a Victron BMK with BT. I replaced the OEM Zamp Solar 30-Amp Controller with the Victron 100/30 solar controller and I really like seeing the results on my phone or tablet when we're camping. If I replaced the Magnum BMK with the Victron then I would have a more complete picture of my battery and solar charging.

Don't get me wrong - the Magnum BMK works great but the SOC and other info is locked to that one control mounted in the cabinet. Not very convenient.

NOW... how this interfaces with the Firefly system I'm not sure.

On my Magnum MS-2012 Inverter there already was a data cable plugged into the Network port on the inverter. Took me a long time to figure out it was going to the Precision Circuits Power Control System. I got a special cable splitter to use in that Network Port so I could have both the BMK and the PCS connected to the inverter.

The PCS will use the inverter when you are on less than 50-amp power to make up for missing amperage IF you have your inverter on and enough battery power to do so.

Creativepart, thanks for the great info. Instead of fussing with some kind of integrated Magnum/Firefly solution that doesn't even do SOC, I'm going with a standalone monitor/shunt like the Victron BMV, which in the Forza's case will be 10x easier to install.
