2024 Vita 24P Trouble Accessing Distribution Panel

I am trying to run wire to my distribution panel and having two roadblocks.
After removing the screws securing the panel It does not pull away enough to gain the necessary access to run wire to make the connection. This came as a surprise as on previous RV's it was never an issue to pull the panel away enough to gain access.
Since the panel is attached to and under the bed, I removed the screws to the bed platform and it will not come off, acts as if it is still screwed down but in fact there are no other obvious screws. I also tried to tap the platform with a hammer from underneath but it does not budge. Any ideas?
