2024 Vita Power Distribution Panel Has Me Stumped

I want to access and add a fused DC circuit to one of the two blank slots on my 2024 Vita. My previous 4-RV's, access was easy, once removing all the screws attaching the panel to a cabinet, wall etc., the wiring would allow the panel to be pulled away a foot or more. On my Vita I could only pull the panel out a short couple of inches before meeting with considerable resistance from the wiring, no where near enough to do any wiring tasks. Not wanting to risk loosening or inadvertently disconnecting wires, I did not pull too hard, only enough pressure which achieved the necessary clearance in the past. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks.

Can you snake a wire from the face of the box down into a wall or subfloor space where you can make a remote power connection (probably easier with the panel loose). Then, with at least a breaker in the available slot, gain the function you want. An inline fuse in an easily accessible place near the power connection could also be added.

Thank you for your reply. I see where you are going with this, and will consider this if I can’t gain access to the back where the connections are made.

I'd power down the 12 volt coach and chassis systems by removing the ground connection from the coach and chasssis batteries. Also power down the converter charger by either disconnecting from shore power or flipping the converter=charger circuit breaker.

Then you can be more agressive at getting access to the back of the circuit breaker panel. On a Vista the cables were long enough so you could rotate it down to a horizontal orientation and get access to the back side. There should be at least this much on your Winnebago as well. Good luck.

The 2024 Vita is so new that there are not wiring diagrams available on the www.winnebago.com/owners/owner-resources website. Sorry.
