Raised Toilet Mounting in 2024 Vita 24P?

Hello, We just purchased a Vita24P and I noticed the toilet is mounted on a raised platform. I am hoping someone familiar with this can explain why the raised platform? Thank you.

... found this picture on Winnebago's site.

Just guessing, it looks like the raised portion could be space (conduit) for electrical and/or water lines. Or something else I'm unaware of.

I would call Winnebago CS and ask them.

Is there a bit of confusion or am I missing something?
Are there 2024 models out already?
We have a wonderful site to "look through walls" when we have questions like this. However it tends to run a bit slow and they have not posted anything yet for the 2023 model Vita. That may leave this some doubt on this info for the latest model they have posted as it is 2022?

Great site:
https://catalog3d.winnebagoind.com/menu/Parts.htm

What they show for the 2022, is a drain line running there?

Thank you for your help. I found that Winnebago catalog page, but like you noticed they do not yet have the 2024 models which we have.

Yes, it would be great if they had ALL of the Owners Resources that they have for motorhomes available for towables. But don’t hold your breath. I think that will be done in about… never.

Not that. Separate divisions within Winnebago with separate operating traditions. The towable division isn’t very old and was created out of the purchase of Sunnybrook Travel Trailers. There was no history of documentation for owners there. Or really at any other travel trailer manufacturer.

We have a 2020 24P and the toilet is on the same raised platform. Not sure but think it is for piping.

Thank you for your reply. You are correct according to a couple plumbing diagrams posted and I have verified by poking around under the sink and under the shower.

I think they make toilets in two different heights. The cheaper one is the shorter one. So, build a platform - save a buck.

Also helps with the plumbing...

Follow Up to My Post Raised Toilet Mounting in 2024 Vita 24P?

I asked about the why of a raised platform as I was planning and now into replacing the toilet with a compost toilet. After removing the toilet and cutting out the toilet flange I was beginning to see there was nothing under the front extension of the raised platform, so I just cut the front portion out, the photo attached shows nothing there. The box along the back wall does have some plumbing. I will be cutting the pipe down to floor level.
Also as a side note I noticed in someone's photo of a Navion bathroom, it is identical except standard size toilet and no platform.
