Turn Signal Not Cancelling 1995 Brave 29RQ

Have a 95 Brave 29RQ and just got back from another great trip and used my left turn signal and now it won’t turn off. When I try to apply the right turn signal it won’t work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Do you normally hear the turn signal relay clicking as it operates and do you hear it now?
I'm thinking the relay may have stuck!
Not sure where to start a search for it but would guess under the left side of dash as possible spot.
The bad news? If it is stuck it no longer clicks to let you listen to locate it. It just hides quietly!

Hi Wiener Bago,
First of all; great moniker!
Secondly, you should move to Ballard!
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the help guys. It does make the clicking sound as it’s blinking on the dash. And when I switch to the right signal it clicks as well. But I get no light on the dash for the right signal and no light at the tail light either. I will definitely check the relay. That’s what I’m thinking it is. Just afraid I might have a bad switch in the steering column. Thanks for the shout out about the user name as well. Wife and I raise wieners. Best travel companion out there!! Many thanks for the help. Will get back and let you know how it went.

Hi Wiener Bago,
Wiener dogs are cool!
So the front right turn signal is blinking OK? Perhaps you just need to replace the bulbs in the dash and at the right rear?
Thanks, Eagle5

So on right turn signal you are getting light at rear but not front or dash? No good drawings to check here but it would seem the signals shoul all work off the same relay and that might drive it more into either wiring or bulb problems??

I might move to checking for the intermitant voltage at the bulb holders or testing the bulbs.

Well that’s what is driving me crazy is the right signal doesn’t blink at all on the dash or out back. I’m gonna test the socket and see if I can find the relay as well and replace it. I’m just thankful that I am able to enjoy a rig that’s 35 yrs old and has less that 40k miles on it. Thanks for the help. I’ll update as soon as I can get to that socket.

Just wanted to post update to my situation with the turn signals. Checked all relays and fuses and they were fine. Wondering if I need to replace the switch in the steering column? I’m almost ready to head to give up and head to dealer. Don’t want to. Just know electrical issues can be a nightmare. Anymore ideas?

I think I’m gonna just replace the switch and see where that gets me. It’s cheap and not to difficult fix.

Just an update. I replaced the switch (arm) and that fixed the issue.

Hi Wiener Bago,
Good to know that was the cause. I really didn't expect that.
Thanks, Eagle5
