Leveling jacks issue 2001 Itasca Horizon 36LD

I have a 2001 Winnie 1KP 36LD. The passenger side jacks will no longer go completely in the stow position. The light is on and the jack will not fully go up to make the light go off and the alarm to stop. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Wow, it took some looking but a "2001 Winnie 1KP 36LD" is an Itasca Horizon 36LD. Not sure that "1kp' is even applicable because it's an "I" not a "1" - "I" as in Itasca. I'm sure the "I" looks like a "1" on your paperwork and placard.

Anyway, now that that is settled - I assume those are HWH levelers for that model.

Here's a link to a thread on the topic over on irv2.com:

In order to provide any cogent advice, please post the brand and model# of your leveling system. This will help if it is HWH: http://www.serenitysys.com/beaver/ar...ID_ml40256.pdf
This will help if it is Lippert Power Gear: https://support.lci1.com/power-gear-...eveling-system

I have 2 thoughts. Have you cleaned the jacks with soapy water and a soft cloth? If I recall correctly. WD-40 was not recommended for your year of coach because of the seals used.

Are these the original springs? If they are I think it would be a good idea to replace them. If your handy you can do it yourself. To remove the old ones: Extend the jack enough to put shims between the coils. When you pry the jack back up the spring will come free. Put shims in the coils of the new springs and hook them in place. Remove the shims by extending the jack.
