Leak during black water flush

I have a 2005 Journey that leaked fresh water during a black water tank flush. It seemed to be coming from the floor in front of the bathroom. I also found wet carpet under the rear dinette bench. I puled the wood wall panel behind the bench and located an anti-syphon valve. A quick test reveled this valve to be the source of the leak. Being a cheep fix it yourself kind of guy, I removed and disassembled the valve to find calcium deposits preventing the valve from closing under pressure. So a good...

Gas Furnace not working

Posted 11-10-2021 at 05:33 PM by HiBanky

I have a 2005 Journey with Suburban SF42 gas furnace that does not come on. The problem began when, in the the middle of a heating cycle, it shut down and would not come on line. No heat or fan. According to the Suburban troubleshooting guide, there is only three possible causes. 1. no voltage at the unit. 2. a bad relay 3. a bad motor. After extensive investigation I ruled out all of these but in the process I found a bad solder joint on the PC board right at the point where the 12VDC supply connects...

2006 Winnebago Journey fresh water dump T handl

Posted 11-10-2021 at 03:04 PM by ETofflemire

I recently pulled too hard on the fresh water dump T handle. The valve was not opening during the winterizing. Next thing I have the T handle and three feet of cable in my hand. Darn that canít be good. So I went to Winnie owners and Iím not the first with similar issues. The dump for fresh water is not a plastic 1/2 inch hose as I anticipated, it is not difficult to find the 1 1/2 inch ABS drain once you roll the passenger side slide out. The access panel to the valve and pluming from the water...

Slide out problems

Posted 10-29-2021 at 04:03 PM by Kingsmen55

I have a 2004 winnebago. On my last trip the slide out would not go out. I had to hand crank it out. When I left the park it came in ok. Next trip same thing it started to go out and then stopped and I had to hand crank it. But came in ok. It's only got 26k miles on the motorhome so not like it's been used that much even though it's a 2004.
Does anyone have any input? Thank you

Winnebago Trend or Itasca Viva 23L

Posted 10-17-2021 at 08:57 AM by BethCous

Hello,
We are brand new to RVing and to this group. (So not even sure if we're posting this correctly (haha.)
We are a family 6 and have a traveling ministry. We are currently looking for a Winnebago Trend or Itasca Viva 23L, but honestly could use some counsel from someone who has (or has had) one before we make this big of a purchase. Anyone out there willing to share their experiences with us? Thanks!
