Dead chassis battery

Posted 05-10-2021 at 12:39 PM by RPS

I have a new 2021 Travato. Had it since Late 2020. Not yet used. Start engine 10-15 minutes every week! Plug in shore line once a month. Start generator 45 min - 1 hr once a month.
Yet, my chassis battery dead today. Thanks to the boost in the Travato I was able to start the van.
I had the same problem (dying chassis battery) in my previous Airstream 190b van.

Question: is this a common problem with Class B’s?
What is causing this? What options do I have...

Upgrade Batteries and Solar to our Navion

Posted 04-26-2021 at 01:31 PM by Lefler39

I am sharing our latest upgrade.

We purchased two 12V 100 AMP Relion litium and replaced the Lead Acid batteries.

We added a Renogy 175 WATT solar panel with a 6' extension to add to the existing 200 Watt Zamp provided by Winnebago.

I purchased a CERRXAN SAE adaptor to connect it to the ZAMP Roof Top open port.

We now have 375 WATTS...

Speed Sweet Spot?

Posted 04-19-2021 at 03:30 PM by FDXDave

Purchased our 1st DP last fall and are preparing for our summer trip beginning mid May.
I’m looking for that “speed sweet spot” for the best fuel economy.
I’ve noticed on our “local” Florida trips (with and without towing), the transmission shifts to 6th gear at 65 mph and the tach drops to approximately 1650. At 60 mph (5th gear) the tach reads around 1900.
My thinking is highest gear/lowest rpm would be the spot I’m looking for?
Coincidentally, my toad (2013 GMC Terrain)...
