Thank you bigb, you are a big source of info! I will check in my manual and see about the timing. I am not sure about the rain tip feature but I don't think it has it. I will try the 2ft idea though...

Thank you! That speed seems to be about what ours is, have to time it next time we open it. We thought it might be slow because it comes straight out, other awning we have had come out at an angle.

The awning works but is very slow to open and close. We don't know is this is normal or if the motor is getting ready to quit. Also, if the motor does quit with the awning open is there a manual way...
