I called Lichtsinn when mine was leaking, gave them the serial number of my coach and they sent me a repair kit that fit perfectly. I think the cost was around fifteen dollars including shipping.

I have restrung all the shades in my MH. Real easy after the first one. I ordered my string from The Dirty Blind Man. The cord is a lot stronger than the original.

I bought the 3 way valve from Ace Hardware. I had to do some re plumbing with the Pex lines and fittings, which was also available from Ace. I actually like the manual setup better.

I just restrung two of my blinds and I found the burrs on my blinds too. Also some of the bushings were put in upside down so the head was on the wrong side, which helps to fray the cords.

Try checking the ground screw to the control box. Sometimes it rusts and causes high resistance. Start with the cheapest fixes first.

Bought my blades at Wally World. Standard automotive blades and filed the rivet heads on the sides until they fit the assembly. Work great and no problems.
