You may have a Propane hot water switch, ours does and I keep it turned off when on shore power. Saves on propane but does cost some electric, but does the job making hot water. Hope this helps.

I connected everything as indicated prior to this message and it illuminated and came on however almost later it was shut off. Then it would turn back on run for about 30 seconds and shut off again....

Okay I think I have it
Black Gen L1 is on the left
White auxiliary Gen is the Gen auxiliary on the right
White Gen neutral is Gen neutral on the right
Red gen L2 is in the center gen L2
