New Micro Minnie 1800BH

Hello!

We just put a deposit down on an 1800BH yesterday. We really like the simplicity and size of this camper + now that they are using Azdel was what really tipped the scales for us when comparing to similarly equipped campers within our specifications.

This will be our 3rd camper, we started with a pop-up, moved to a hybrid and now the 1800BH, so we know what works for us and what we are getting into.

Picking it up will be a 2,000 mile round trip which will be a fun, especially on the way back.

For our first mods / upgrades... I have 2 MaxxAir Deluxe Fans and a Progressive Industries 30 amp EMS waiting for it.

The only thing that gave us pause, is the lack of cabinet and sink in the bathroom. How have other owners dealt with this? Any creative solutions? If you use your kitchen and are preparing food, I imagine it would be disruptive to have other folks coming to wash their hands or brush their teeth in the middle of preparing a meal. Not the end of the world, but an annoyance.

That is interesting, our 1708FB has a sink in the bathroom, I didnt realize the 1800 did not. If that is the case, you will have to use the shower head to wash hands, or put a splitter on the shower hose so you can wash hands. Is there any reason you chose this particular model?

How are you liking the 1800bh? I’m a new owner to one, getting familiar with it and prepping for the first weekend out. Any sage advice to share? We too traveled a long way to get it!

Hello MMouse, besides this being a thread that's 18 months old, it seems like the OP has not been active. There is an existing thread specifically for Micro Minnie TT's that you may find interesting and get more responses.

https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/f267/

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Congratulations on your 1800BH. We have really enjoyed ours, with 15,000 miles over 16 months. While I’ve done countless upgrades, the ones to the bathroom for us were the biggest.
  1. Adding a segmented faucet with diverter for hand washing in the shower. I also added a splash guard to deal with the splashing that occurred.
  2. Adding shelves in the bathroom for toiletries.
  3. A mirror and Kleenex paper towel dispenser.
  4. A full solar screen at the lower bunk door.

Hope that helps!

That looks great! What is the purpose of the add to the rear storage door, does it let the air in while keeping the sun out? I sure wish there was a window in that door!

Thank you.

Initially, I wanted it for when the weather is nice, to be able to leave that door open. Also if we’re at a place with a nice view, I’ll walk around in the morning and open it, so my daughter can wake up and look out. And, thats where I store the hose & electrical cord, so it comes in handy during setup and take down to keep the bugs out.

That’s great. I debate whether to open that door daily (bugs vs fresh air)… I think your solution is a good one. Did you make that or buy somewhere?
