Water Filter to carry with me when traveling

I am looking for a water filter to carry with me when traveling. I would like to know what other RVers use and why they like it.
I am planning a trip to Colorado later and would like to have it by then.
Please respond with your filter choice and why.

Thank you,
TimeshareRV

So many questions...

Do you want a water filter for inside the RV?
Do you want a water filter to install under a sink or on a faucet?
Do you want a filter to install on the hose between the fresh water outlet at the campground and the City Water inlet?

Just what kind of filter are you asking about - I could guess, but....

Good questions. One between the water supply and the RV water inlet. I believe that would be good enough.
Thanks for the clarification.

We found it was not something we wanted too often as we normally stayed where the water supply was aproved and mostly just wanted to change the flavor at times.
That left us to use a standard whole house filter left loose to pull out and add the filter cartridge we wanted for the current problem.
Sediment filters if wanting to be sure there was no particle concerns from rusty pipes or charcoal if we wanted to change the taste.
We simply did not stay where the water was so suspect we would feel the need for three stage filtering!
I carried a couple addapters to go between the standard NPT of the filter housing and the hose and a short hose as built for washers to go from the filter to the RV.
That let me place the filter in the wet bay to be out of sight to guard again those folks.
Lots of different adapters in the irrigation fittings of the big box stores made it small enough to not bother if hauling full time but very easy to adapt to any use we found.
We did want to stay with items that were found easily as there were times when the filters reached a point where we wanted to just drop in most any place for new.

I've a standard inline filter between the hose bib and the RV water inlet. There's also a whole-house filter in the wet bay that has a 1 micron carbon filter in it. I replace both filters at the end of the season when I winterize.
