Quality control and Easer eggs.

A little long!
Didn’t take the MH to Texas last winter, for 16 years we used the South method for winterizing. Just took it out of the shop, where it spent it’s first winter in cold country.

I winterized it last fall, as I have done many other RV in the past. I closed all the water valves and proceeded to fill the tank, all seemed to go well. Opened the faucets to fill the water heater and lines, using the pump. After bleeding the air out and turning off the last faucet, the pump shut off.

"I thought to myself what a wonderful world".

A little while later the DW says NORM, there’s water on the floor. Investigating, I found when you fill or flush the toilet, there’s a spray of water behind the Concerto. I can’t see where it is leaking, so I prepare to remove it.

We spent the night in the shop apartment and this morning I pull the pot. There is a plastic bag tied to the fill hose. I look and find a hanger for a sprayer. I look further and there it is zip tied underneath.

Turn the pump back on and raise the fill lever, yep the spray nozzle is cracked. Hard to winterize something that you don’t know that is there.

The Horizon is an 05 and I have had it since 09. This is the first year it had a chance to freeze. I guess the installer was in a hurry that day in late 04 or maybe it was Monday. Anyhow the QC Inspector missed the toilet sprayer.

I borrowed the sprayer for the outdoor shower and all is well for now.

Quality control and Easer eggs.

Hi Norm,
Sounds like some sort of hidden bidet feature, right? Glad you have it fixed!

Always thought it was for cleaning the toilet. Very close quarters for a hand held bidet.
