This is what is so great about this site! Makes you think about what you can do to upgrade your coach.
I have a SunStar LX 35F, and was wondering if anyone has added Gas lifts to any of the basement doors? Particularly the doors that open up from bottom? Such as the WaterBay as well as the one under the BR slide out on the 35F?
If so what size Gas Lifts did you use, and was it difficult to do?

Its easy to do if you get the right part #. If they are unmarked, you have to guess the weight. But they are very easy to replace. Lee
I did this on my previous RV. I loved it. But after a year the mounting plate attached to the door panel started to show thru the outside of the door. The lift kit compresses the foam in the door panel and stated to telegraph through to the outside of the door.
I got mine from hatchlift.com.

I just replace all gas lifts on our 2003 Adventurer. The electrical door and the generator door use 90# struts that are 15" extended, 12.5" compressed. All other basement doors use 90# struts that are 15.25" extended and 9.5" compressed. Got them all from Amazon. Found the specs for them in the parts catalogue from Winnebago. By the way, I also replaced the two lifts on the bed, they're 125# rating each, 21" extended. Now my wife can raise the bed with one hand. I got these from Mobility RV.
