We never got around to writing down a checklist as it varies so often on each trip.
For setting up, there is one common item that you will likely find. If you forget some item like connecting the power cord or turning the breaker on, connecting the hose but not turning the faucet on, you WILL find the mistake!
The part you CAN control is the one to work on. Learn to fuss at yourself but not blame anybody else and just go with what needs to change and it will soon become a bit more of habit and stress is far less than if you kick the dog when it happens!

One firm idea we did do was the final check before driving away. Power, hose and sewer connections stored? Anntenna down? Did the slide go in right and the jacks retract fully? Don't forget to load the loose things like the grill!
Add a few kid items to the list and it gets tricky! I once left a scout at a Micky D as I counted them in but one got back out without me seeing him!

That sort of last minutes walk around is one that will save you a lot!

But it may also vary every time you move, so we never wrote it down.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but do a walk-around every time you stop for gas, a meal, etc. before you get back on the road.

Everyone has posted some great advice, I am a pilot (no longer flying) and checklists have been part of my Mantra for many years. That said I looked had a checklist in my phone for flying and went on the search for an RV specific checklist shortly after getting my first Motor Home. The one I settled on is RVChecklist by Adventure Treks. One of the big pluses is that it come pre-populated with checklist items, and is fully customizable. One big minus is that it is for Android users only. There are some out there for the apple crowd, but I cannot say anything about how well they work.
