switch on control board

I have a heater that does not seem to produce heat when turned on. I suspect that it may be the control board. When I purchased a new one and went to install it, I noticed a rocker switch on there that has an On/Off. Does anyone know what that switch activates or deactivates? This is a Suburban Control Board.
