Water heater bypass on Minnie 2529RG

Does anyone know where the by pass valve is on the hot water heater (Dometic WH-6GEA). I need to winterize the trailer soon (good old Calgary winters).

Mitch... FYI you don't have a Minnie Winnie Class C motorhome... you have a Minnie 2529RG travel trailer. Big difference between a Minnie and a Minnie Winnie. It's very important to realize that difference when requesting info, getting service and buying parts.

The Minnie Winnie Looks like this:

Another big point on getting the correct ID of the RV is that we get lots of info online drawings, etc. on motorized which we don't for the trailer group!

But there are some general ideas that we might share to point in the right direction?
When we want to bypass the water heater, it is to avoid having to put enough antifreeze in to fill all the lines without also pouring six gallon in to fill the heater tank.

So a little thought about how that is often done may lead to finding the cutoff we use to bypass that heater. We want to fill all the lines but not the heater, so the bypass valves are almost always very close to the back of the heater!

In different RV that will often be different but a little looking and study of your RV will likely lead to the right spot.
What is directly at the back of your heater? Maybe a cabinet and valves will show inside it?
Or is there a cabinet with a smallish section of panel that needs to be removed to get to the valves?
I've never seen one where they stick out and are exposed to view but some do need to remove a piece of the wood!

Not knowing that exact trailer, I can't say more but it is almost certain to be very near that 2' X 2' section at the heater back end!

under the kitchen sink...open the cabinet door, remove the two screws on either side of the panel under the shelf and you will see three valves in the plumbing at the rear of the water heater. close the cold water in valve and the hot water out valve. open the other (bypass) valve.

Very good! It's that really specific stuff we can't see from here!

2529RG water heater bypass

I just remembered, on our 2529RG, there are only two valves...
one is between the blue cold water line and the inlet of the water heater AND has a white hose to another valve, which is between the red hot water line and the outlet of the water heater. With the lever of the valve pointing toward the water heater on each valve is normal operation. To bypass the water heater, turn the lever of each valve toward the white hose. Oh, and there are also two doors under the sink to open for access to the panel.
