Grey tank: 1 or 2?

Hi all, I feel embarrassed to ask this but I need some guidance. I have a 2022 MM 2100BH and it comes with one 25 gallon grey tank. However, my “command center” shows two grey tanks.

Does this mean my 25 gallons are split into two tanks between the shower and the sink? We had a situation this weekend where one grey tank showed full and our shower started to back up (long story how we messed this up). Then the next morning the sink started to back up as well but the second grey tank was showing empty. It leads me to believe one of those sensors is just for show but that seems really odd.

The specs on the Winnebago website says that unit has only one gray tank. The tank would not be split. I don't know why the light is on for the 2nd tank, but unless the website is incorrect, you don't have a 2nd gray tank. You should have only one gray tank drain valve as well.

Thanks. That’s was my assumption as well but I’m baffled by the second grey tank indicator. Wondering if any other 2100BH owners have the same issue.

Does the “command enter” also have black tank button? And are you talking about the command center where you can press buttons to show the levels of clean water gray water black water and battery levels? If you do not have a black tank button and two gray tank buttoned maybe one of them is just mislabeled.

Hi FlyingV, yes I’m taking about the console which allows you to see the variously tank levels. And yes I also have a separate black tank button.

Try manually testing this out. First dump gray and black tanks, rinse as necessary and allow complete drainage.
Leave black tank open then run water from each faucet one at a time and observe for water draining. Hopefully no water is draining, but if it is, that means that particular faucet and basin is plumbed to the black tank.
Close black dump valve and proceed to do the same with the gray tank, repeating the process.
This should identify your waste water plumbing and routing. Go slow so you get it right the first time.

I recall reading a similar thread where I think it turned out the wrong monitor panel was installed/programmed. That is, someone else had one grey tank, and the monitor showed two.

Wow, found it:

Two gray and two black tanks? We have only one of each!

Thanks everyone. I realized I forgot to attach a photo in my first post. My hunch is that one of the grey tank monitors isn't actually tied to anything. I do know my blank tank monitor is correctly connected to my black tank. I'm plan to test my shower and sink separately to see how the monitors respond.

It’s odd that the spec sheet on the Winnebago website also references a second gray tank and then instead of listing it’s capacity, it shows a N/A.

Where are you finding the spec sheet online? I've been looking through the Owner's Resources section in the Winnebago site and looks like Micro Minnie's have been left off for some reason. Frustrating b/c the 3D Service Parts lookup seems like a great tool.

Unless they changed something since 2021, it only has one grey tank. They probably just used a 'one size fits most' command center which supports larger units that do actually have a second grey tank. Likely supply chain issues.

That's what I was thinking. My 2021 has one tank. It almost looks like there may be a change coming but it's not implemented yet. I would like to see a larger fresh water tank rather than an additional gray tank. My biggest limitation for dispersed camping is the 31gal fresh water tank even carrying an extra 11gals in plastic containers. Still learning how to ration the water!
