Unhappy Cannot Find Wheel Bearings - Itasca Phasar 1984

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this community. I live in France and bought a Winnebago Itasca Phasar from 1984 a few years ago, based on a Renault TRAFIC chassis.
It's a beauty, I love it and wanna take good care of it but I'm not good in mechanics and French professionals get lost when they see it : it needs new wheel bearings (rear and front) as mine are old.

I called Winnebago Parts and quite a lot of stores but they told me they don't support this model anymore...

VIN Number is 1WWBB15Y6EF303926
Serial Number : 70220R242508

I'm not sure what parts to purchase and what to look for...

Could someone help me find the right model ?
Once the mechanics takes away the bearings, he told me he couldn't put them back on if it's not the right model.

You're going to have to contact a Renault parts shop for this. I suspect the bearings will be the same as used on several other Renault products/model years, so, hopefully, they will have what you need. Unless things are different in France, the VIN should have all the info needed. I'm surprised your mechanic didn't know this.

The situation would be the same if you lived in the US and had a Ford chassis.

Exclamation the bearings will have size and manufacturer numbers on them

The bearing sizes and part number are on the races. The trick is to back track them. Most have new equivalents. It all depends upon which companies chassis was used and what the running gear was at the time. Winnebago is not a frame and chassis manufacturer, they like forest river and others use stock engine and chassis for there shacks with motors on wheels.
The chassis serial numbers will be near the engine mounts somewhere and should be available from who ever manufactured the running gear.

The garages most likely are baulking because they just like pulling parts off the shelf or having it delivered locally on snap orders. Most of the busy best ones cringe when a big vehicle shows up that might need research to fix. Can't say as I blame them.
