Picking up new 2100BH

I'm picking up my new 2100BH on Saturday, I heard there was a recall on some micro minnies due to their axles being undersized?

When I go to inspect it, what should I look for underneath? The brochure says it comes with 3700lb Torsion Axles, would I just see 3700lb stamped on them?

Anything else I should be looking for? I'm basically going to have the dealership go over every system with me to make sure it works, not sure what else I should be looking out for.

Yes the axles will be stamped or painted with the weight rating of the axle.

As for the rest of the inspection. Its not only do the things work but how do they work. If this is your first unit pay attention or take videos on the operation of things.

Winterizing and de winterizing steps seem to always come up. Where are things like water pump, invertor or convertor, slide motor, things like that.

Good luck with your new unite, use and enjoy.

If the dealership is doing your hitch work, ensure you are provided the manual for your hitch. Put the same amount of weight In Your tow vehicle as you would normally carry on a RV trip. I made the mistake of not doing this and had my weight distribution totally off when I took stuff out of my tow vehicle and put it into my trailer. Check to see if your rig is level before you leave the dealership.

The trailer could have one have three axle ratings:

Pre 8/2020 builds = 3700
8/2020 through ~9/2020 = 2500
~10/2020 onward = 3000.

I don’t know the exact cutover date from 2500 to 3000. The 8/2020 and onward Dexter axles have the capacity stamped on the back (toward the center) and on a sticker on the front (toward the curb side).

The recall was on trailers meant to have 4000 lb axles (2306BHS, 1700BH, etc) that actually shipped with 2500 lb axles.

Got the trailer, so far everything seems to be working fine. Just been hooked up to shore power for now, going to fully test the plumbing after a cold snap this weekend.

Thinking about March 1st to head down to Arizona/New Mexico, its slowly hitting me I can go anywhere.

Thanks for this info, I checked my axles and they show 3000lb on the sticker curb side, thanks for putting my mind at ease.

Oh also the honda eu2200i companion is great, runs everything but AC at the same volume as a normal conversation.

I bet the generator would run the A/C also if you install an EasyStart.

I might end up doing that, going to see how often I am in hot weather.

I installed the Wildcat 4655L and I've got my DIY lifepo4 battery sitting warm in the pass through. Found I could branch off the battery disconnect and only had to run a negative cable through the floor.

Dont worry about the cables, waiting on my inverter to come in and will tidy it up.

Getting close to heading out, waiting for a string of warmer weather to sanitize and test out the plumbing and then I'm gone.
