2108DS - Broken black water valve rod

I managed to break off the handle and rod for the black water valve release on my 2108DS Micro Minnie (which has the winterization package). Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to replace this? I'm assuming I'm going to have to remove the insulation panel(s) underneath and replace the cable and rod assembly from the valve out. Anyone have any experience and tips on how to best proceed? Also, would I need to get a replacement from the dealer or are there other options? Thanks in advance!
