Dometic 12v Fridge DMC4101 in 2529RG

Doing my end-of-season cleaning and getting ready to put my Winnie to Sleep for the winter. (Campground closes in 2 weeks) This is my first winter with my new Minnie 2529RG. With the new 12 volt, Dometic Fridge is the only way to turn it off is when the electrical supply is turned off? Nothing in the manual. I've also been researching rodent issues. I used to have a number of issues with my Mico Minne 29FBS. I actually got under the 2529RG is it is button-up pretty tight. I could not find any gaps that would lend itself to an entry space. But we will still do the usual dryer sheets, Shavings of Irish Spring soap, and some peppermint oil, with mothballs in the wheel wells.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance, weather is still beautiful here in Sothern New Hampshire, a little color in the North Country

To turn off Dometic compressor fridge hold down the mode select button on the left for a couple of seconds. When the blue light go off, the fridge is off.

For rodents leave an open tin of lightly used cat litter (urine only) in the rig near most likely entry place. Then sprinkle some around the tires. Repeat every three weeks. When you walk in, you really shouldn’t smell a strong litter odor.

Since there is such a variety of rodents around from rats, mice to the normal tree squirrel, I just go straight to killing by using rat bars as the grain in them attracts most all rodents and the chemicals also dry them out so they don't smell after they die.
Needless to say, I have no qualms at all about killing things that I feel need it and rodents are near top of the list!

murph362, did you notice you CAN NOT remove the shelves in the 22529RG refrigerator?

Poor planning / design by Winnebago in my opinion!

I Read the owners manual, and you need to slide the locks inboard using a screwdriver blade . Once they are slid over you can pull the shelf out with the door wide open .The next time is easier to slide them over .

Lance_57: Oh no, I read the owner's manual and was able to release the shelves, but the refrigerator door will not open wide enough to allow me to remove the shelves.
Poor planning / design.
