Water Pump Switch 2019 Minnie Winnie 31G

I have a 2019 Minnie Winnie 31G and am new to RV’s. There is an outside water pump switch for the wash station as well as inside. Do both switches have to be on when not connected to city fill for the water to work?

No, the water pump switches should all be of the sort that each can control the pump from any location.
Something like house lights where we might have several switches to control one light?

As Richard said they are 3-way/4-way type switches, sometimes "up" is "ON" and sometimes "down" is "ON" depending on where the other switches were left. I also have one in my water bay and I made a hinged cover for it as it was very easy for something to bump against it on the road and turn it on.
