Do newer Winnie Minnies (2015+) have leak issues?

Do newer Winnie Minnies (2015+) have leak issues? I know Class C's are notorious for leaking int he cab-over area, but wondering if this has been resolved with newer models. I'm specifically looking at a Winnie Minnie. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Qwerty11,
With a moniker like Qwerty, you must be a fast typist, right?
Yes, the leaking problem has been solved on the Minnie Winnies with the addition of the front cap. It covers all of the problem areas, and stiffens the body too.
Welcome to the Forum.

That's really good to hear. Do you know when they started adding the front cap?

In my 2019 model year, it was optional, as I was back to 2014. It became standard in 2020. The Brochure Archive is a great place to look at the various floor plans and model years.

Gotcha. Thanks. Sounds like I definitely want to make sure the cap is on the models I look at.

Another big bonus is the 6-speed automatic transmission. The old 5-speed had irregular gear spacing, and when going up a steep grade, could shift from 5th to 4th to 3rd in a hurry, and really be screaming. The new 6-speed has even gear spacing, and works very well. Also, I don't believe the old under-powered V-8 was sold past 2015. So, 2016 and newer for the V-10 with the 6-speed.

No leaks in our bunk area, but despite regular lubrication, the slide seals have deteriorated and we sometimes get a little water on the floor when driving in the rain.
