We mainly wanted a thin TV with a good picture, decent picture and smart TV functions. The Samsung was our only choice, no other manufacturer makes a high-quality 32" set.
No sound bar for us - part of the appeal of the new TV was to have it fit flush with the cabinets. And that was a pain; we had to essentially build a new support to match the different mounting screw pattern.
Maybe someday we'll put some sort of auxiliary speaker in the cabinet behind the TV, but it's perfectly adequate for us. (If I want to watch a high quality movie, I'll watch it on my iPad, with headphones, anyway.)
Would I recommend this expensive and hard-to-install upgrade? Depends on the person. I wouldn't be anxious to do it again.
