Think we are going to get a Travato

We've been looking for a Class B for a few weeks. After deciding that the Thor configurations were not real suitable for us we decided the 59K was just right with the twin beds.

We want a used one. One 2016 locally has been for sale for sometime. Probably overpriced? Just today a 2018 locally popped up and we may go see it tomorrow.

Have no idea what critical area I need to look at. Any failure points someone want to mention that I can look at?

This will be our 4th RV if we get it. So we know something about systems and what it's about. But........

Hi TankerIP,
You can see all of the posts for that motorhome with this site-search:
59K
Hopefully, the 2018 will be a good one for you, and at a fair price. Please let us know how it goes.
Welcome to the forum.

Did not go so well. One (2016) found out the owner owed over $10k more on the RV than what I thought it was worth, and would/could not go down. The other, a 2018, had been used by someone who was an itinerant worker who traded it in for 5th wheel since his work is apparently now more permanent. The unit had not yet been cleaned, looked shabby, and I had no confidence in how well it was maintained in the past. Just a bad day in the used market.

Hi again TankerIP,
I see that the retail price for a new Travato 59K is $175K, which is definitely a large chunk of change. In looking at the RV Trader:
https://www.rvtrader.com/
it seems to be finding 187 Travato 59Ks for sale, but many of those are brand-new. The least expensive one comes-up at a stout $82K. Exceptional values are hard to find these days.
Good luck with your search.
