Water Pressure '05 Vectra

Just bought a 2005 Vectra, love it so far except that we do not seem to have any water pressure when using the on board pump. It appears to be a newer pump, manufacture date is 6/11 so I am hoping it is OK but....

No issues when on city water, and yes we are keeping the setting on city water when using the on board pump. I know there is a filter at the kitchen sink for water purification but we don not have any pressure anyplace, even the out side shower is barely a trickle.

Any ideas or fixes would be appreciated

If I set ours to the city water setting the pump runs continuously and we have NO water at all.

Thanks for the comment. That is exactly wjat is happening with mine, however that is the setting the book recommends. I will try changing the switch and see if that makes a difference tonight,

Look for a strainer on the suction side of the pump, if there is one make sure its clean. It will be right at the pump so you can't miss it. After that you can try to increase pump pressure by turning the center screw on the pump head clockwise when facing the pumphead. I have removed the pumphead and cleaned the three rubber valves but that may not be necessary in your situation. Good luck

This may sound stupid but how much water is in the fresh water tank. We usually run with about a 1/3 tank and sometimes when stopped at an angle the pump will suck air. Might also make sure the suction side of the pump connections are tight and the vent is open.

Check the winterization valve position and the city water valve position. If either is in the wrong position your water pressure will be poor to non-existent.

Your drinking water filter needs to be changed when the pressure from it is noticeably weak.

It works, I changed the valve setting to the opposite of the manual and voila we have great water pressure. Thanks for all of the great input. Even to RV store where we bought the coach told us incorrectly.
