Ideal rest bed 2013 Ellipse 42GD

Is there an ideal rest split king adjustable bed option?

I’m not sure what you mean? Split King???

Please explain.

Ideal Rest is not supplying mattresses to Winnebago any longer. They have some parts but not whole RV air mattresses with that name.

Each Ideal Rest should have two separate air bladders that are covered with one foam topper. If you had the memory foam topper cut into two pieces I’d guess that would make your “split king”.

By the way, it’s an RV King size, not a regular king bed mattress size.

2013 Ellipse 42GD has an rv king air mattress that the head can tilt up. A split rv king allows independent control. One side can be up while the other is flat.

No, the bed tilt in Winnebago Class As is built into the RV and is not part of the Ideal Rest mattress. Even if the mattress could split, which it can’t without major modifications the bed has one platform and one motor to raise the entire mattress.

You’d have to totally rebuild the bed platform and on top of that have the mattress completely modified as well.

Could it be done? Probably, but at great cost. Many thousands of dollars to make such a change.

Winnebago didn’t make the bed tilt for comfort, they made it tilt and retract so the slides could be retracted without hitting the bed. It actually uses a slide motor and slide controller. Someone would have to reengineer the entire system to make a split tilt bed. So, I doubt anyone has ever attempted such a modification.

We replaced the bladders and pump in our 2013 Itasca Meridian Ideal Rest queen. Ideal Rest is gone. There is a new company, Innomax. https://innomax.com/product-category...acement-parts/. They make the same parts that fit perfect. I called them and they were really helpful and sent me what I needed. In fact we were on the road and they shipped to on of our upcoming RV Parks. They even covered some of it under Warrenty. Give them a check.

Can your new bed tilt up individually? One side up at the head while the other side is flat.

Our bed is not a tilt model. But I believe they have the right parts for those as well. They were very helpful, just call them and see. That's what I did.

Magnum, I think you've misunderstood what the OP is looking for.

He isn't looking for standard Ideal Rest parts. He wants to totally modify his tilt bed platform to split it into two parts - left and right - so that one side can be raised and the other side remain flat.
