Adding a central vacuum in 2016 Forza 38R?

Has anyone put in a central vacuum in your Solei or Forza? Ours is a 2016 38R.

FWIW, we have a central vac system in our MH and do not use it. The long heavy hose is cumbersome and awkward.
We bought a cordless vac off Amazon and much prefers its ease of use, light weight, and easy storage. Plus it has a carpet head to better clean our carpeting.
The best part? It cost about $115 compared to the Dirt Devil central vac system, which costs over $250-$350.

wiz-

I installed a central vacuum in a Class C coach I owned. The storage space sizes and shapes made it tough to carry a decent portable. I used a portable in my Class A.

InterVac made the central vacuum unit I installed. It worked OK. It was "suction-only," without a beater bar for carpet. The portable (in the Class A) had a beater bar and cleaned the carpet better.

You'll want to scout for a location for the central vacuum unit. I've seen a few Class A coaches with vacuum units in a basement compartment. On my Class C I used a space that was otherwise not useful. That was nice- I got the function without giving up precious storage space.

My wife has just gotten into a batttery powered vac for the house and has declared she wished she had it when we had an RV as it is so easy to get around, under and into spaces versus the hose we used to have.
At around a $100, I might suggest going with one as a test to see how it works for you?

Though not inexpensive I think you’ll find a Dyson cordless vacuum to be superior to a built in vacuum.

If sold on the central vac idea, I think I saw a few installation videos on YouTube a few years ago.

Although I haven't picked up my unit yet. It comes with a central vac and the dustpan option. The dust pan unit is what I'm anticipating using the most. you just touch it with your foot, it turns on the vac and you sweep away the debris.

What I think the central vac fails in, is that they only put one port and a huge cumbersome hose. The hose is like 30' long! If I was going to install a central vac unit, I would find a way to put at least 2 ports and shorten the hose. If the hose doesn't have wires running through it, that should not be too difficult. You can add the dustpan unit, they are only about $40.

Good Luck!
