Aux Battery Switch Not Working - 2008 Winnie Navion 24J

I recently installed an inverter in my 08 Navion 24J. I ran DC wires from my batteries directly into the inverter. The AC (out) wires I ran from my inverter to my shore power plug. This allows me to quickly fire up the inverter, plug into shore power my AC outlets will all work.

I'm now seeing very odd behaviour from my Aux battery switch located right inside the door near the bottom step. Normally it would cut all power to and from the aux batteries. Now it is only cutting power to my converter but leaves the connection from my batteries to all my 12v systems. The solenoid is clicking when I hit the switch.

Any ideas why this would be happening?

I can't answer about your battery switch - but that sure sounds like a highly unusual way to wire your inverter. I can't wrap my head around all the implications of this setup.

Sorry, but the details are what iare needed and your post has left many more questions than answers!
So maybe we need more details?

1. This allows me to quickly fire up the inverter, plug into shore power my AC outlets will all work.
Does this mean you are using the inverter to give AC and also plugging into shore power for a second source of Ac to mix with the first? Not seeing the reason as the outlets should all work when plugged into any source and mixing them brings lots of questions on waveform, phase, etc. that I would not want to test out at each location.
Maybe I'm not reading what you are saying?

2. Normally it would cut all power to and from the aux batteries.

Not true as there are safety items which are left on, even after the disconnect is used. Bigger issue will be that it will not cut off items added to the battery before the disconnect!

3. The solenoid is clicking when I hit the switch.

I'm confused here but it may only be different terms used. Do you mean the mode solenoid is clicking or is it the disconnect relay you are speaking of that is clicking?

Suggest it needs more thought on where and what you are trying to get. Drawings are here:
